About Us
AEMMP Records is a 27-year old student run record label whose purpose is to provide a practical industry experience to the students. AEMMP Record’s mission is to provide local Chicago artists with some exposure and plug them into an extensive network of past and present alumni at one of the most prestigious arts and media management schools in the country. AEMMP Records interacts with local artists and businesses and operates with a real budget and dedicated staff of nearly 20 eager music business students every semester.
The label is overseen by music industry professionals Justin Sinkovich and Kegan Simmons. Justin is a full time Columbia instructor, former New Media Manager of Touch and Go Records, owner of File 13 Records, and founder of Webby-award winning Epitonic.com. He is also lead singer of the band Poison Arrows. Kegan has been an adjunct faculty member in the AEMM department since 2008, he is the current retail director for Red River Records and former retail director and digital distributions manager for Bloodshot Records.
2009-2010 is the continued reinvention and relaunch of AEMMP Records. Check back often for more details.
