Sun – Brando’s Charm

1996

Brando’s Charm is a rock group from Chicago that was a regular headliner at clubs like Metro & Double Door during the 1990’s and  was featured on Mancow in the Morning and Richard Milne’s WXRT local anesthetic. The band included members Micheal Casey on drums and percussion, Stelio on guitar, Ako on Vocals and piano, Chris Schuler on bass, and Lawrence Tio on guitar. Ako was a great singer that was reminiscent of Chris Cornell. Also Michael Casey’s percussion diversifies the sound of the album with tracks such as  “Intermission” and “Killer” that meander away from traditional rock rhythms prevalent throughout the album and include more of a syncopated Latin rhythm and beat.  Their first album “Soul” was self released. They later released an EP, “SUN” with AEMMP Records in 1996.
